Peninsula Aeromodelers General Information

The club field is located at the end of Wavecrest Ave in Half Moon Bay, which is 1.2 miles south of Highway 92 off Highway 1. Turn towards the ocean and drive past the baseball fields and through the gate. Visitors are welcome if the gate is open and members are present.

Club meetings are held at 7:00pm on the first Wednesday of the month at the Beresford Recreation Center on 2720 Alameda de las Pulgas in San Mateo.

Prospective new members are encouraged to visit the field and introduce themselves to members present.

The club attempts to have instructors available for people learning to fly and for help in selecting and building a model.

All activity at the field is governed by the club’s “FIELD RULES”, a copy of which is posted in the field shed.

All new members are required to attend an “ORIENTATION” session before being allowed to fly independently at our field.

Club members do all the field maintenance, and as such, all members are expected to participate in occasional “work days”.

Strict noise restrictions apply - 94db for 2-cycle glow engines, 96db for 4-cycle glow and gasoline/spark ignition engines, and 99db for all helicopters, all measured at 3 meters (10ft).

Only transmitters and receivers meeting 1991 AMA specifications may be used at our field. All legal “Aircraft” frequencies are approved including “Ham” bands.

Call the field phone (650) xxx-xxxx for more information.
